September is often described as the January of the fashion world, a time for change, out with the old and in with the new. And the perfect time to revaluate your own wardrobe. I know since becoming a mother my wardrobe is full of clothes I don’t wear. Partly because my life has changed and those short dresses don’t quite cut the mustard at the one o’clock club. Partly because my body has changed, my hips are wider and that flat stomach I was so proud of hasn’t quite made a come-back yet. I blame the G&Ts. But also partly because my personal style has changed. So it was time to look at exactly what I have, what I wear, what I don’t wear and what I want to add. There was a lot I don’t wear, and such a waste, but it felt so great when I stood back and saw the clothes I do wear all hanging pretty in the now far less cluttered wardrobe. A perfect collection of things that actually make me very happy. And that is what is key. Wearing clothes that make you happy.
Now… as to what I want to add… a beautiful pair of Mary Janes, a romantic maxi or mid length sheer dress, a statement white shirt, cross-body bag and some winter fringing detail. I have enjoyed browsing the street style photos from New York and London, and am excited about Milan and Paris. I think the street style is just as fun than the shows! Here are my favourite street style shots that have influenced my lust-haves so far. I hope they give you some inspiration for your own wardrobe happiness!
Love to hear your thoughts, what you’re adding this season and any wardrobe tips you have for September!
Love,

A fabulous & eclectic collection, my absolute favourite is the first dress with it’s sensible midi length & long sleeves betrayed by the sexy sheerness & hot mama colour! Also loving stripes at the moment so can’t skip without mentioning the bias cut maxi dress, imagining it with boots & a chunky knit YES!
I agree that having babies no doubt changes our bodies but also our perception of what we like wearing, have fun collecting your new styles!
Thanks for the drool xxx
