The Shopping Edit: Fresh February

I was not sorry to see the back of January, what is it about the whole month being so depressing?! It’s all doom and gloom in the media too, diets, dry January, tightening those purse strings post Christmas. So I am welcoming in February for a fresh start!

This week I took the plunge and bought the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream. Having bought just the eye cream a few weeks back and being too frightened by the face creams hefty price tag… I decided my skin was in desperate need of some nourishment and went for it. The reviews are so good, and word of mouth (IG) recommendations have been fantastic! The fact it cost so much (£70) means I do actually use it every morning, which in itself is a big deal for me. I also asked for a bunch of spatulas at the counter to take home with me as I found the pot tricky, it can’t be very hygienic either. Time will tell if it works… I’ll let you know. In the meantime here’s the link and there is a great tutorial on how to give yourself a mini facial… Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream .

I am so pleased the sales are finishing now, walking around the shops gets a bit depressing when all you see are car boot style rails of last seasons clothes thrown all over the place. The fresh new season buys are trickling in and they’re beautiful! I am biding my time and haven’t bought anything this week clothes wise so wanted to share a few of my favourites that I am pondering over…. the links are below too.

  1. Love that Chloe Leopard bag, haven’t seen it in leopard before – stunning! You have a fantastic eye for style lady.
As for nourishment for your face may I recommend a far cheaper option? I’ve been using Bio Oil for almost 15 years. Cannot fault it & no it isn’t greasy on my face at all in fact I find most expensive creams break me out which is bizarre as my skin can be quite dehydrated. I occasionally try them once or twice, get sucked in to the advertising & hype but always go back to Bio Oil.
n.b Hygiene all depends on you washing your hands before using the cream.

    1. That is such a great tip thank you so much! I actually have a stash of it in the bathroom as I always use it post holiday to keep my tan but would never have thought to use it on my face. Do you just use it before you go to sleep? Thank you so much! X

      1. No I actually put it on in the morning after my shower & evening after I’ve cleansed my face. Try just once a day at first & see how you like it. I’d love to hear how you get on with it xxx
