aMothersEdit is written by Ashley, a thirty two year old mother of one. Ashley lives in South West London and has worked in fashion for eleven years. Having worked with many brands, big and small, highstreet and luxury, she now works part-time allowing her to spend more time with her daughter Vivienne.
‘If you’re reading this then thank you so much, its so nice to hear when people enjoy my content or have found my posts useful or inspiring. After having Vivienne I found it all too easy to pull on the same old jeans and baggy jumper every morning so started documenting my outfits as a challenge to myself to make more of an effort. I remembered how much I enjoyed playing with styles and mix and matching different pieces. Rediscovering my ‘passion for fashion’ has been so much fun and the Instagram community is incredible when you’re looking for inspiration and support. I love black & white, lace & denim and have a magpie eye for anything shiny or gold. I hope I can help inspire a few others on my mum-style journey.

Yes to a wonderful man I met when I was just nineteen and am still totally besotted with.
Where do you live?
In South West London – Twickenham in a little terraced house with just enough room to house the three of us and my gigantic shoe collection.
Do you work?
Yes I work part-time around looking after Vivienne.
Where do you like to shop?
Mango, Zara, H&M, &OtherStories, Selfridges, ASOS, Vestiaire Collective, Freepeople and Whistles.
Where do you go on holiday?
I love Italy for mini breaks, skiing in France, honeymooned in Mauritius (we won our honeymoon with Brides magazine), Kefalonia, Hvar, Vegas…
Favourite things to do?
Wine fuelled long lazy lunches, dancing around the kitchen, getting into a freshly made bed, cool showers, watching Sex and the City episodes, planning holidays and making lists.
Wardrobe items you cannot live without?
Leather biker jacket, denim, breton t-shirts.
